Hey Lumberjocks,
A small walnut burl cross made for a friend. Typical cross dimensions, (if there is such a thing,) 12” tall, 6” wide and the horizontal placed 1/3 down from the top. I added some pinkish resin dye in a few of the voids on the front face. This was made as a gift for Leslie, who is a magnificent chef and wife of my Men’s Group Bible Study leader. Leslie prepares all of our dinners for us on Tuesday evening before study time.
Thanks for checking out the walnut burl cross

I can see a face with a scarf over the head in the burl right at the cross?

Yes, great eye. She’s looking downward to the right. I can see headscarf, hair, eyes, nose, chin and shoulders. Her robe flows downward. She looks peaceful. Again you have a great eye for the art in the projects. Thanks for the comment.
