“We’re on a mission from Gawd” is still one of my favorite lines from one of my favorite movies!
What better characters to try creating my very first scroll work WITHOUT someone else’s plans! Yes, I have done quite a few works before – even much harder ones, but I think I like this one the best because this is TOTALLY mine!
I even cut, dried, milled and planed the choke cherry wood that it’s cut into!
The last picture is, of course, the original picture I designed it off of. I used mainly photoshop and a LOT of tweaking before I got the look I liked.
I left the bark on two of the edges to give it a rougher look – just like Jake & Elwood!
Backing is stretched black fabric to keep the work thin and very close to the wall.
Comments welcomed.
BTW, I will gladly share the plans with anyone who asks from LJ’s – I don’t even care if you use it for sale. I think it would be an honor to know someone would want to buy it!

It’s 106 miles to Chicago, we got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it’s dark, and we’re wearing sunglasses
... Hit it!

How many of these “Blues Brothers” pieces have you sold? And how much does it cost to get them?

Squeat99,
I’ve sold a few dozen over the years. If you are interested in purchasing one, please send an email to [email protected] as this is not the place to conduct business. :-)
thanks!
