Birch is a beautiful wood to work with and especially when you carve boots and bowls (Bushmaster types). The colour and grain are light and not overbearing. So any detailing has to be measured and understated.
My floral arrangement is my own concoction, botanists will have a hay day identifying and classifying this new specie. This one belongs to me!!
First to the design which is a simple pencil sketch with a bit of left-handed flair. Next comes some serious pyrography work with my RAZOR TIP burning tool. (Razor Tip is a good Canadian non-Asian company. With this company quality counts!).
After a few Scotches, my brushes and acrylic paints come out and with reckless abandon I create a visual of a new species of flower.
The base wood which I haven’t got a clue of it’s type, simply because I’m getting old and my synapses are a bit slow to remember when and where I bought it, but not hampered enough to curtail my imagination!

Now I’m ready for someone with tight jeans to do some hot toe tappin’ line dancin’!!!! YEEEEHAAAAW!

My jeans are tight and that’s due to a fat butt. Hope I haven’t sexually abused any body!

I don’t ascribe to Happy Holidays but will say to all my Lumber Jocks – “MERRY CHRISTMAS to ALL!

Roman, the weird BOOTMAN!

That is nice, my favorite for sure. Beautiful job. and Birch too. I didn’t get the razor tip as it is pricey and didn’t plan on doing very much. Love your flower design. Will have to make one for my Granddaughter, she is takeing horse riding lessons, she got a pair of boots this summer when we where out in Ontario.

It’s a gorgeous boot, Roman. But, I think your flower belongs to all of us: It looks like Dogwwood. Which is normally white.
