This being the time of year for Christmas presents, I had to turn one out quickly for my wife’s friend. This is a cutting board from scraps of mahogany, oak, walnut, cherry, and maple. I woodburned an image of a tree into the top right hand corner to give it some detail, and I cut the edges at a 10 degree angle to give it some interest instead of being just a bunch of scraps glued together. it’s a good use of excess stuff if you don’t know what to do with them but they’re too good to just add to the burn pile.

Nice cutting board. Great job on the little tree but you should still sign it.
