A fellow woodturner that I met at SWAT sent me one of their clubs newsletters about a community project they were attempting. Making ornaments for a community Christmas tree. I replied back that I thought it was a good idea and a worthwhile project so I offered to help out. So I spent a couple of days in the shop turning some ornaments along with some pens that I am making for some friends who’s family members are serving in Iraq.
The enclosed picture are the ornaments, the pens are at the engravers being laser engraved with name and unit. I will post a picture of them later.
The snowmen and the angels are out of scyamore and the birdhouse is cedar.

That is a fine group of ornaments and all for a worthy cause. Are you using a mini lathe or full size lathe?

Thanks for the comments, they are appreciated. Bill, all of these were made on a jet mini, but I also have a full size powermatic lathe.

I like the birdhouse, I have to start on some of those for Christmas presents this weekend.
