This past fall my wife and I had moved out of our home after 27 years. With the moving going on, our time frame was running short to carve enough Santa’s and Snowmen to setup at our local handmade show this year. The picture you see are the 25 carvings I was able to throw together during that busy time. Planning to sell some of these during a private showing at our new home in the next couple weeks. Others will given away as gifts and whatever my wife tells me to keep.

These are carved out of basswood. Painted with acrylic paints and then applied brown shoe polish. Largest carvings are 12 inches tall. The shortest around 3 to 4 inches tall.

Thanks for the comments.. Normally I would have around 75 pieces to do in the show, but since we moved my focus was on that task.

Thanks again for all the great comments. As of this morning most all of them are sold. Just posted this morning. By days end, they should be gone. Still will have a few special orders to do before Christmas.
