Toy chest built in the Wood Buddies shop for my sisters three year old grandson. The plans have been around for years and were purchased before Woodcraft took over selling them. Our R-tist in residence chose the fabric and painted the laser cut letters. My wood buddy has done upholstery before so he did the chest top.

The wood was off-fall we had after completing the scandal table. The logo’s were created on our laser. The blank ones are for future generations. Their names can be added when the toy chest is handed down.

The stop chamfer was produced on our shaper with a custom fixture. The finish was minwax golden oak stain and three clear coats of vinyl sealer. The 60 some dowel pin holes were drilled with our Mafell Duo-Doweler. We used hot hide glue and held the inset panels in place with 7/16” composite brads using our new Senco nailer. The composite nails require no filling and absorb the stain meaning no filling or sanding.

That is a real nice toy chest! I love the saws, too.
I’d love to have a CNC laser.
