Purple heart and tiger maple box. The hinges are wood. This was my “weekend box” so to speak. Had a lot of fun making it (like I do with all my projects, lol) I guess I am pleased with it though it did not come out exactly as I envisioned it. But what can you do….

Great looking box. Wonderful choices in woods. Great design.

Keep it up.

Another beautiful box. I really like the wood combo. I need to learn how to make wooden hinges.

Great lookin box. You should post a picture of the back, so we can get a better look at the hinges.

Very nice box. Good selection of woods – they work very well together. Would have liked to see the wooden hinges – they’re on my list for one of these days. Great job!!!

Beautifully done, and impressive that you made the hinges! I’ve seen how tricky it can be to hand make hinges out of wood that work nice and smoothly, and open strait. Great job! : )
