This was the last of cupboard doors and drawers that I made for a friends house. Since the previous owner had removed them we replace them with leaded glass pattern that was used in other parts of the house. I used half inch lead around the outside and 3/16 lead for the field, and double strength window pane for the glass. Cut and fit glass, sodered the lead, filled the exposed lead around the glass with DAP, and darkened the lead with an acid wash. After the acid was neturalized the windows were fit and held in place with 3/16 X 1/4 wood strips nailed to secure. Thanks to my friend Dennis Williams for the crash course in glazing.

Looking good. I built a couple of projects for a friend of mine with this same pattern. One problem she had was her grandkids pushed on the glass and lead couldn’t take the stress. I think she ended up backing it up with a plane piece of glass behind it.
