Another piece of Sycamore from The Sawmill Guy that was headed to the burn pile. Looked like I could make it stand on it’s own so I brought it home a couple of months ago. Saturday night I saw what I wanted it to look like. It may or may not get a name. Any thoughts?

It kinda looks like an elephant ear laying sideways.

I’m going with Ma Nature always makes the perfect art pieces.

Congrats on you from keeping that beauty ending as ash. I usually don’t like slick, glossy finishes, but if a piece of wood ever required one, it is that piece.

Is the face flat enough to set a clock works onto it? Guess it would require the depth too.
