Hey Lumberjocks,
This is Zane and Lisa’s wedding gift. This 6” chef’s knife is steel, not stainless steel like most knives. It will sharpen easier and stay sharp longer, just takes some extra care. The steel is from France and the knife was made by Ron Hoch from Ft Bragg Ca. I added the wooden scales and brass pins. The wood is Cherry with a touch of boiled linseed oil. The copper pins contrast nicely with the hardwood. The box is made from a small piece of spalted Maple. The Maple tree had a fungus growing in it at one time. The spalting makes for some great design features in the wood.

Thanks for checking out the 6 inch Chef’s Knife and spalted Maple box.
