Here’s a couple cherry boxes I made for my girlfriend a while back. The small one is another Doug Stowe design, while the larger one is for her pens, pencils, scissors, etc. They both sit on her large drafting table that she uses for her craft business. The last picture shows the large box in use.
As I mentioned earlier, both boxes are made from 1/2” cherry with walnut for the miter keys and the lid. The finish is several coats of Watco Natural Danish Oil followed by a good coat of paste wax.
