Purchased this planer a few weeks ago. I ran through it and while it has been used in its life there are no major problems.

I built a new cover for the dust collection because the original one leaked too much. I put that piece of plywood on the bottom and moved the switch down there because the factory location was on the other side on the belt cover. Totally the wrong placement. Then I built the mobile base with castors I had kicking around. The castors don’t swivel because all I want to do is pull it out and push it back in and the other one I built for my jointer works well. Click for details

-- When questioned about using glue on a garbage bin I responded, "Wood working is about good technique and lots of glue........I have the glue part down."
