Two drawer curved box made with walnut, maple and mahogany. I just called it “groovy” because I couldn’t think of anything else to call it : )
This piece is finished with a hand rubbed mixture consisting of boiled linseed oil and polyurethane varnish.
Dimensions: 9.75” wide x 3.5” high x 4” deep

love the contrast, been thinking about band saw boxes, what size blade do you use?

You should! They’re a lot of fun and one can get very creative with the design.
I use a 1/4” blade for cutting out the outside profile, then switch to a 1/8” to cut out the drawer because of the tight radius. There’s also many good instructional videos on bandsaw boxes on youtube if you want to see some of the techniques other woodworkers use.
Good luck and have fun!
