Except for the roof I built this for free. The entire house is made from scrap clear vertical grain redwood. Finished with Sikkens. Had to buy a bundle of shingles because I didn’t have any sitting around.

I daresay your biggest fans are going to love it forever :)

I love that the dog has claimed it before it’s even done yet. so cute!

Nice. Did you choose a color that complements your own house?

Did you put any sort of finish on the floor at all, or on the bottom of the house to help with moisture issues?

Guess you’re just going to have to build another one for the other pooch.

This might make for an interesting blog, especially if you get some good shots with the crew helping out, lending their seal of approval, etc.

Actually I think that is a questioning look on the brown dogs face as if to say ‘does this mean that we can’t sleep in the house with the couch and air condiotioning? and how are we supposed to wake you up when its time to play or pee or whatever else there is to do at 3.00 am ? and whats with this hard floor? what do you think we are anyway? dogs?

Great looking house for great looking dogs. The Redwood will age beautifully outside and will keep the elements at bay.

Great job.

That is a nice looking dog house and it should last forever. It looks big enough to fit both pooches well.
