This is a walnut slab crotch that I purchased to be used as a slab style coffee table. I have never welded before this. A friend and I made the legs. They are rectangular steel tubing painted black. The slab itself sustained serious damage from striking something hard when felled. I cut off the major damage and reinforced the minor damage with epoxy and bowties (my first ones, only used chisels*:] ). The photos don’t do justice to the character here, hence the staged sun photo.
