Finished cutting this last evening. My wife really liked the pattern so I was instructed to cut it for her. It is an Alex Fox pattern. I cut it in Butternut. First time I have used Butternut and I probably will not use it again for this type of fret work. It is very soft, even more so than Basswood. I had to go real slow with this one.

WOW!!!! Paul, that is absolutely awesome.
I bet you scored a couple of Brownie points with the Wife over this. It’s beautiful
Great job mate.

Nice job Paul. I’m also not a fan of butternut. Haven’t bought any of Alex’s patterns yet, but he has several I plan to purchase. Keep Mama happy and the whole house is happy. Mike

- GR8HUNTER

I use what ever it takes!! Yes I used my favorite FD-NS 3/0 spiral on the very little cuts. The rest was flat blades mainly FD TC #1. I use Flat blades as much as possible, a lot less “fussies” to clean up.
