Looking at ken90712’s toolbox reminded me of this quick get me out of the house for a few hours project. It isn’t as fancy as Ken’s (in fact, it isn’t hardly fancy at all!) but I enjoyed making it. It’s 31” L x 11”W x 12” T (outside), which is just long enough to carry a handsaw. I use it to carry tools to and from a remote project (got tired of using bags and boxes…) I glued and clamped it, and the handle is just a maple branch from my property, which is notched, dovetailed (is there such a thing as a round dovetail?) and wedged in place, no glue. OK, the wedge is glued, but the handle to box connection isn’t. (just in case I have to redo the handle.) ;) The handle is just a bit longer than the distance between the box ends, so it’s held in place by some pressure, in addition to the wedges.
I worry about the glue joints holding, but so far the bottom hasn’t fallen out. Right now there are about 30 lbs of tools in there, and the only signs of anything giving up is my arm, if I have to carry it a long ways…

Very handy toolbox. I made one a few days ago just so all of my tools would be in one place I needed them. I like the curved handle on yours.

Very practical and it should be handy for when you need to get the tools together to go to a site.
