Mantel and surround

The old fireplace was all brick and had side extensions of brick from the ‘70’s (if that makes any sense?) It was a mess and the harth was in different levels. I built a new mantel and upper area and surround to cover the brick and give the room an updated look. It was my first mantel of this type and I was pretty pleased with the finished product. I hope you enjoy

That is a great transformation Elvin! It turned out very nice indeed and has become a nice focal point for the room.

That is very nice.

I’m sure it has completely transformed the look and feel of the room.

Did it make the room feel more formal?

I’m sure the room is classier now than it was before.

Also excellent choices on the marble and the screen. They definitely lend more class to an already classy build!

Now that is a very thoughtful use of space; you have a great eye for detail!

This is one of the nicest mantles and fireplaces that I have ever seen : )
