This mirror helped me grow my skill and I really enjoyed making this new piece for my wife. The wood is red oak and not one piece is trimmed – it is all shaped with my table saw and router. The project took a few more weeks than I wanted as I tried to challenge myself with doing this without trimming it as I hope it will be in the family for many years to come. The stain is a Minwax Jacobean base and the finish is also a water base matte finish from Minwax. The outer ends was routed with a dowel bit and the rest was milled down with the table saw….hope you like it.
