Very cool, I’ve seen segmented bowls like this.

Awesome work with that board. They are fun to build but they do tend to get costly. Keep it up.

Nice job G469G469. I really appreciate the effort required to create one as nice as yours. Its just a shame they have to be put to work.

Many years ago I made just a very basic one (nowhere near as nice as yours). But even that I found too nice to hack up and added it to my showcase. I finished up sacrificing a piece of pine board (with an ogee trim all round only) as a stunt double.

The bottom picture is through years of abuse… it looks dirty but is higenically clean… well at least I’m still alive and the missus continues to henpeck me.

I truly understand, but it’s like building that sports car and never driving it. We have multiple Maples, hickory, pecan, mesquite (slab) and African mahogany. I’ve got some sapele set to the side for another board for the wife. Variety!

Gary, I like your handles. Could you please point me to the bit you used for that? I’ve tried a few designs but I haven’t gotten around to buying a larger bit for that style. Thank you.
