This started out as just an experiment but it worked so well that I made another form and glued up a dozen (over the course of a week). I was totally amazed at how stiff and strong these are. You could literally throw and bounce these off a wall without any damage. The most difficult part is making the forms and (after releasing) mounting the stands, sanding and finishing. It takes me less than 10 minutes to glue and clamp one together. Wait at least 24 hrs before releasing. (with 2 forms I can only make 2 per day) Used paper backed veneers. 5 ply. Use the cheaper stuff for inside core and criss cross grain direction. They are exactly 1/8” thick. Finished with a couple clear coats rattle can laquer.

The detailings look so neat and smooth just like how I want my storage cabinets to look like. I am going to try with your recommendation of the finishing coats of lacquer to give that extra shine and flawless look.
