I picked up some nice chisels and was looking to buy a hardwood mallet when I came across a busted apart dining room chair. I grabbed that and made my own mallet. Not perfect or real pretty but functional. Free is always nice!

Saved some wood from a trip to the dump, and made a nice functional tool at the same time. Excellent job.
