The pattern idea for this wedding plate came directly from the wedding invitation. There were various line drawings that contained the shapes shown in this carving. The Swarovsky crystal in the center added a bit of flare.

Very nice detail. Do you do all your work by hand or leverage a CNC for some of this? I do some of this type of work on a CNC, but not sure I have the patience (or skills) to do this by hand.
Regardless of how it is done, nice work.

All of the chip carving I do and teach is done by hand. I take it as a compliment whenever someone thinks some of my carving is done my machine :-). If you’re interested in learning how to chip carve, I’m sure I can teach you.
