I made this Travel Dulcimer over a couple of hours today from scrap material. I have been wanting to get back into making musical instruments for a while. The last Guitar I made was around 16 years ago. After stringing it up, I can’t put it down it’s sounds great and real fun to play. Maple neck, Spalted Horse Chestnut back and sides and Apple bridge and nut. I’m going to be making many more of these I’m sure :)

That is a very nice one. I made one several years ago. My son took it home to play with, he plays, I don’t know how, and someone stole it. They suspected a house cleaner.

This looks really nice. I picked up a book on how to make one of these. I feel like I almost have the skill to start that’s project now :)

Thank you everyone :)

doubleG469 I followed the tutorial on Instructables here

PaulDoug, that’s a shame :/ I hope it eventually found a good owner that would appreciate it :)

Hi Ashley, these are really easy to make. I would love to see how it comes out if you make one :)

Thanks Charles, I’m happy with it :0
