I have been fascinated with these things. They are so odd looking to me and I have no idea how they work . Have you used it yet? I’d love to see a video if you do. Yours looks nice, sturdy yet light wieght.

Clever use of the bent legs. (do the rear ones pivot together for storage?

I like your design. I may barrow it. I want to make one that is portable. Nice job.

mpmitche – I have used it and it works great, shavehorses are used to clamp tapered and rounded pieces for shaping, generally chair parts.

swirt – The legs pivot.

I’ve been looking at these since I need to build one. I’ve not seen that design before. Did you come up with the design yourself or did you find a set of plans for it on-line? Yours looks a lot more light weight than what I was planning, that could be a real plus.
