Looking good. Like the modular boxes. Should add some weight to thebench too.

Thanks Ben & Wayne,
The boxes and drawers (empty) weigh in at 52 lbs each. With the added weight the bench is 272 lbs now. And the lift system still works just fine.

Thanks Ed,
I’m a light duty woodworker now. So this bench is perfect for what I do. But I do love those traditional benches. I drool every time see one posted here. :)

Nice work, always good to have someplace to put your tools, or other items.

Fine work on those drawers Tony. I would even put my important papers in them if I had any. Soft close slides, Wow, we don’t even have them in our kitchen. Nice job on the handles, I will have to keep that style in mind.
You still have some room behind the cabinets, a good place to hang some bar clamps. For an all plywood job, it looks great. Now go cool off in the air conditioned room.

Thanks, woodbutcherbynight,
It didn’t take me long to load them up! I could use more!

Thnaks Bob,
I think my wife is jealous of my drawers! LOL!

Thnaks doubleDD,
I’ve been thinking of what to do in the back and I guess your idea of clamps would work just fine. Seems this project has no end to it. I got the idea about the handles from our roll top desk. My Horizontal Mortise machine came in handy for making those!

Hi Tony,
Fantastic looking drawers, they really match the bench well. You are too good mate.
Glad that the lift mechanism still handles the extra weight.
Congratulations on the No.1 award.

-- Bob, Western Australia, The Sun came up this morning, what a great start to the day. Now it's up to me to make it even better. I've cut this piece of wood 4 times and it's still too damn short.
