I threw together a little something for Mother’s Day.
Tried cabriolet legs in a different way.
Mom likes copper but I couldn’t find hinges and a latch. So I made hinges and a latch out of a copper sheet. The fleur-de-lys latch didn’t come out as I hoped but I didn’t have time to make better. The hinges were made by rolling it up a piece of O1 1/16” round stock to be used as a pin.
Built with cypress and finished by burnishing with wax. Lined with hobby lobby patterned felt I had on hand. It looks a little bottom heavy but it was what I could do with the time I had.
Thanks for looking :)

The legs (on the box) really came out nice. Are they carved from one piece or is there a glue joint at the corners?

Duck, thanks bud and they are solid. They’re only 2”x2” max I believe.
