This unique Oak vessel has many interesting characteristics.
It has spalted areas, normal oak grain, insects holes, bark inclusion, natural edge bark and two piths.
The vessel measures 8” high X 5 1/2” wide at the rim. The base is 2 3/4” in diameter.
The wood came from a neighbor’s tree and was turned green and finished with satin lacquer.

Very nicely shaped and the variation in the wood patterns are exceptional.

Beautiful turning. I like the design, and of course, the wood features only enhance it more.

Thoroughly outstanding in all respects. Without a doubt, this is the most beautiful turned piece I’ve ever seen.

The form seems perfect.

I’m very fond of spalted wood, as my icon shows in the hickory lid of the box.
