Japanese influenced coffee table

just finished this table in time for the San Diego County Fair. Made from myrtle (top) and black walnut. Finished with penetrating oil made from equal parts tung, poly and mineral spirits. I’m off to deliver this right now, will answer any questions later… Thanks

Thanks everyone for the comments. Thanks Rob for flattening this top with your wide belt sander, you saved me a ton of work!

Outputter – there is a little wobble that I fixed by adding rubber door bumpers underneath the legs, It wasn’t as bad as the pics though, the pavers must really be messed up. I think I drilled one of the holes for the dowels that hold the top up a little too deep. I was in a hurry to get this completed for the fair.

If anyone is in the area this next month , I highly recommend going and seeing the “design in wood” exhibit at the S.D. Fair. Some of the pieces there are absolutely incredible. I feel extremely honored and privileged to be a part of such an extraordinary event.
