Before my recent health issue, I turned another gavel which I was very pleased with and wanted to share it with you. I decided to leave some of the cherry bark on the head to give this one alittle character of its own. I haven’t made a cherry block for it, but plan to once I am able. I hope you like it.

I’m surprised the bark turned so well. So have they got you taking yukky fish oil pills yet?

Love the bark!
perhaps the block will have some bark on it as well, making it a matching set.

Nice mallet/gavel Os. Hope you are getting better – health wise – and will be able to get back in the shop soon. God Bless.

Thanks everyone, you all are the best. I’m glad that you like it! The only time I’ve spent in the shop lately is to take a few pictures of what I’ve been up to before this past week, but I’m biting at the bit for the day that I can get back in there and make something.
Dennis, I’ve been on the fish oil for over a year now, thanks for asking.
