I had this ideia as soon as I bought the shotgun. I began by tracing the old handle on a piece of wood, I used a log from olive oil that was waiting for the winter in my fireplace. I started flatening the log and then traced the old piece, i had to use a jigsaw to make the cuts which wasnt easy. Because I choosed a hard wood it took much longer time to carve and file and cut.. and so on. On the end I noticed I had some cracks, but I knew this wood is really dense, so I just filled them with epoxy and sanded all in the end. For last I used some orange wax.
Im happy with result, what do you think?? See it yourself, there s the build video

Please don’t take this too seriously, but the wood itself looks like a Donkey’s rear. Olive wood is extremely hard. I know this for a fact. I had to take 6 of the down by hand axe when I lived in CA (Near Lake Elsinore). HARD, even when green.

Well I think you have done a great job, but I also think its a bit of a wrist sprainer in the making.
Maybe a kick back similar to that of a donkey!!

We had a pair of Remington 870s with similar pistol grips and short barrels in the small arms locker onboard the submarine back in my navy days. Shooting them rapid fire from the hip was a real hoot. Start low, and by the time the tube mag was empty, you had peppered the targets from toe to head :^o
They were the go to weapon for repel borders action.
