My Dad recently passed away at the age of 91 years old. He was an amazing man and taught me many things. One of which was to be Proud to be an American. He served in the Army during both World War II and the Korean War. I was able to get his service records so I could accurately recreate his awards history and honor his memory. My Mom and Dad were married for 65 years. It has been a difficult time for all of our family but especially for her. I gave this Shadowbox to her as a gift in hopes that it would provide some form of comfort.

How did you get the flag folded so perfectly? It looks great.

Don’t know if Tim did it this way, but… I’ve used a 1/4 ply or stiff cardboard and folded the flag around it.

Where are you in Orlando?, I’m on the east side, south of UCF, near Waterford.

With reference to the flag fold I do this similar to how Jack described. I use 1/4” foam board. I cut it to the size of the inside of the flag case, wrap the star field around the foam board triangle and press it against the glass. Once I get the presentation the way I want I simply pack the rest of the flag behind it.

Thank you all for the kind comments.
