Numerous adirondack chair patterns exist. I was asked to make this one from a plan from Rockler Woodworking and Hardware in San Diego. This plan includes cardboard templates for all the non-linear parts, detailed scaled drawings and assembly instructions. The chair is to be used as a display in the store and won’t be out in the weather. For that reason I chose 4/4 and 5/4 sugar pine. Since it will eventually be painted I chose to glue and screw only every other seat slat and attached the back slats with screws, no glue to simplify the painting process.
