This footstool was built as a Christmas present for my sister and brother-in-law who live in New Mexico. The legs are joined by handcut dovetail keys (my first attempt at such). The wood is from a pallet that held luan plywood. It turnes out that about half of the luan that my local big box store gets comes on pallets made of mahogany. I just planed it all down (by hand) and worked it as necessary. My wife made the cover by hand as well. No nails or screws on this project, only glue and (decent) joints. A little late in posting, but I’ve been busy with other things.

To all of you that said something about the credit card in one of the pictures, thanks for looking out, but it’s a card that has been deactivated for some time. Again, thanks, but it’s not an issue.

Where did you get the cushion material from?

I just bought a roll of egg crate that has a denser material fused to the back. I placed the egg crate side down. The effect is that the cushion is firm, but comfortable. The material actually worked out great. I purchased it from my local big box store for less than $10.
