This project started by my wife asking if I knew what a tissue box was and could I make one. To be honest I never gave it any thought and figure what the heck a project is a project.
I happen to have some left over white oak ,a few pieces of seppelle and a some curly cherry that have been lingering in the corners of my shop and figure what the’s a box with out a bottom … then i thought hey lets have some fun so I rounded over the corners with the router and got to play with a v grove bit ..never thought I’d get that bit but t it looks pretty cool.
The pictures don’t show it but seppele and cherry look great together. It’s funny she took them to work intending one to go in her office ,, She tells me her boss walked up ..said great job finding these and took them all … Apparently I now have 2 more to build is good

Very nice tissue boxes, I have been needing one for my office so I think I shall learn from your experience and build my own. Thanks for sharing with us.

Nice boxes. The pics look a little fuzzy to see much of the detail.

These are special because they are the “Square Type”.

I needed one for my “Victorian Style 2Pce” Guest Washroom. Went to a few stores to have a look. YIKES!!! You seen the price for a half decent one of these?? NOT wood? So. Home I came, Scrap Pine, 3 hours later a “Colonial Snot Disposal Unit” OOPPSS! “Tissue Box”.

Not as nice as theses ones though Ray! Nice work!
