I made this one as my past time. It was planned to be a mailbox but due to its beauty, it is now a lampshade posted in our living room. Eyecatcher and always the start of conversation. The windows are glass stained with decorative stickers. A flourescent lamp is fitted inside. The materials are all recycled from crates (pines). The roof is made from leftover tanguile wood.
Challenge—everyday, everynight I have to glue one slat of the roof. Select a waterproof and strong glue.. Look around for a light that will fit in and not visible from outside.

Hey! This is quite original. I like it. Good way to use shorts and good way to stay away from stores to buy plastic stuff. Thanks for posting. By the way, is it designed for inside or outside use? I’m wondering because of the Welcome sign.

Best,

Serge

Thanks,
Actually, it is situated on our living room to greet the visitors. I used a varnish (Valspar) which is water resistant and the Glue is also marked as exterior. The roof and walls including the lighting is water free for rain however not guaranted for soaking with water. What is best is that it is portable that you can bring it out during parties or even there is an evening meteorites watching then later you put it back.
