Another quick outdoor project. I loosely based this trellis off the plans at Birds and Blooms , but I shortened it to 4 feet tall. A 7 foot tall trellis would dwarf our garden. I also got inspiration from Andrea Paulin's blog. I limited the number of side decorations – at only four feet, too much is just clutter.
It probably only took me about two hours to make this, it was that quick and easy. Put together with 2 1/2” screws. The supports between the legs are cut at 6 degrees to allow for the pyramid shape. I free-handed the decorative peaks on the table saw. The top decoration was picked up ready-made at a big-box store ($7).
All in all I’m pretty pleased with it. I would have liked to have made it out of Western Cedar, but I can’t seem to find a source for it. The big orange store has cedar, but only in 1” planks.

Nice trellis!! Awesome garden :) We have had really cold weather out west and not much sun so veggies have not been growing very well.

The trellis is cool, hopefully I make a couple someday! Now I just need a garden where I can plant stuff!
