first cutting board/griddle cover. the need for exact measurements on a symmetric brick pattern added complexity to the layout/cutting, but turned out ok, and enough left over for a matching cheese plate. Walnut bricks and Mahogany mortar.

Cool. Do those ever char on the edges because of the heat so close to the burner?

I gave a cutting board to my boss about 8 years ago and she keeps it on her stove like Mark’s. It’s still perfect and she loves to cook so it’s had a lot of chances to get charred.

nate, the side of it has charred a little. that burner is an old Wolf open burner, and it can get very very hot. can’t tell from the top, and lucky its dark wood.
