Quilted Big Leaf Maple panels were set into a Leopardwood body.
The lid panel is a 3/8” slice of spalted maple.
The handle is Jatoba.
Dividers are live edge maple with walnut rails.
Thanks for looking.

Update: The splines are made from a sandwich of Wenge-Maple-Paduak. They are about 1/4”, maybe a little fatter.

Your work always amazes me. I’m doing a box right now and always chicken out to start carving. Great work and colors as always.

Did you hear that sound, Andy? My mind, being blown, again. But, prithee, good sir, why so parsimonious with the photographic representations. I want to know what you did on the corners, and I can’t tell in just two shots. Or the bottom. Or the back. It can’t be you ran out of film.

Thank you AGAIN for posting another wonderful project!

Your boxes really highlight the Grain and heartwork of the wood you use.

Just Awesome…
