I picked up a nice walnut blank for dirt cheap at woodcraft. The wife mentioned she wanted a bowl to put earnings in. Out to the shop I went, a couple hours later, and she has a lidded bowl.
My first attempt at something like this. I’m a utility turner. Overall I’m pretty happy with it.
I find myself on the lathe more and more. I think I may take a class to learn how to turn! Tons of fun.
Comments are always welcome.

First attempts are always the most exciting, fun and the end result will be cherished. Well done.
