I made my first wine trees awhile ago and gave them out as wedding gifts. They were a big hit at the time and I’ve always wanted to be able to do more but due to losing access to the necessary equipment I haven’t been able to. Fast forward several years and I’ve built up my shop and been able to afford enough equipment to put these back on the menu.

I just finished up a batch for 5 weddings this summer but this one starts making some to put up on my store.

Sandwiched Butternut over a core of plywood. Every layer is shaped by hand, glued and then shaped again. Sanded to a polish on the faces and rubbed with linseed oil.

I’m still playing with the designs of the “trees” and I like how this one turned out.

Cheers,

-Chris

Very nice.
Not much wood on the left side to hold the bottle. Looks like one little wiggle and away she rolls.

Ditto, I like the look but needs a little “upsweep” on the bottom edges to keep the bottles caged. I do like the look of them!
