This is a Murphy bed that I just finished in May 2017. It was designed for a dance studio, as was the first Mirror murphy bed that I built. See Mirror Face Murphy bed. What I did is to put a Mirror in the center of the face. Framed it out with Picture frame type Molding. Added some crown molding at the top.

It is Finished in white Lacquer. The customer requested an upper bookcase. I did not have the room in my showroom to put it up there in the video.

The operation of it is very easy, just pull on the trim (I didn’t want to put normal pulls. It is very easy to pull out. It does get a little heavier at about a 45 degree angle because of the added weight of the mirror. It’s about 45 lbs at 45 degrees.

Wood type: Maple ply and solids Finish: White Lacquer Mechanism: Create-a-bed Deluxe

Very nice looking Murphy bed. Do you use springs or gas cylinders for counter weight?

That one I used the Create-a-bed Gas pistons. If you have a heavy front ask them about a brown label piston.
