I am currently a senior in high school and this dresser was built a year ago for myself. My school has a creative arts fair that always has nice furniture in it. There is a special award usually given to a hard working senior with nice work called the silver hammer. I won it as a junior with this dresser and I won it this year becoming the first person ever in my school to win it twice. I built this dresser out of alder (legs, sides, and top) and soft wormy maple (drawer fronts and bread board edge on top). It took me about a month and a half to complete. Finished with lacquer. The drawers are made out of thin alder with cedar bottoms and dovetails. Legs are curved on one side. Drawer pulls are made out of alder and mitered and beveled. Hope you guys enjoy it!

very nice! I love the subtle contrast between the two woods, and the simple and straightforward design.
