Here is a box with wooden hinges made from three African woods (Bubinga, African Mahogany shelf, and Wenge mitered “outlay” on the top). Great fun figuring these out! I started by making the wooden hinges and then decided to make a box on which I could use them. The box became a special gift to a very close couple.

Thanks for your positive comments! This project allowed me to find several “work-arounds” as I got comfortable with a new router & table setup and had to fix a couple of unanticipated issues.
