Back in November of 2014, I posted my Out feed/Assembly table. In that post I stated I would like to add a rosin paper dispenser.

Well here we are 2 1/2 years later and finally got around to it. I used some 3/4 plywood from a dumpster dive. a 3/4 wood dowel and a piece of aluminum I had laying around for the “cutter”. I had to toy around a bit to figure out the best location for the cutter and orientation of the paper. I ran the aluminum through the table saw creating a sharp edge. When you’re getting ready to pull a new piece through, just do a small fold towards you (picture 5) that makes it EZ to feed the paper between the table and cutter. My table is about 32” wide so I had to cut the paper roll to length on the bandsaw. Not sure what if anything to do with exposed dowel, it sits in a recess on the opposite side.

The diameter of the rosin roll is about 4 1/2”. The tray it sits in is about 6” x 6” on the outside dimensions.

Thanks for looking

Looks like it will work well for you. It will also be useful for the packaging that your wife LOADS on you to do!

Great idea and great job on this. I had thought of doing something like this a few times. I like the design.

Didn’t yet thought about that project but, I bet it’s a great workbench top saver.

As Charles said, nice addition and well thought out. Was always planning on doing one for my outfeed/work table, but never got around to it. Now it doesn’t deserve one with the way it looks.
