My daughter has been auparing in the USA for the past year and we are going to visit her in July. This is the gift for the little boy she is looking after.
Some more pics

As this gift has to be transported as luggage it had to be small enough to not take up too much space in our suitcase. The end design was 190 mm in length.

I started out by asking our friendly prof Google for ideas and from a combination of pictures and drawings I drew up a Sketchup plan which is available over here.

I made a circle sanding jig to help in making the wheels.
I drilled the inner rim with a Forstner bit and then cut the blanks on my bandsaw.

The jig in action

Finished sanding the wheel

I then finished the wheels with my Drill Powered Toy Wheel making Lathe that I made when I made a Old Time Farm Truck (also a gift)

That’s a fine looking toy truck—I’m sure the little tyke will spend many happy hours with it!

Way cute toy truck!!!
Love the eyes and the fender washers for hub caps.
Bet it rolls like butter.

Will translate for Dutchy. lol

My guess would be. “That’s one leaky auto George.”

Google translator says. “Nice car Gearge.”
And I’ll second that!!!
