We had some Robins trying to make a nest in all the wrong places in our backyard. I made a nesting box and the next day they made an egg holder.

That’s pretty cool. How tall is that fence? Can you see inside the nest from gound level?

Very cool! It only took one day to get new tenants. I never seen one of these (I’m just use to the old bird house). I think I am going to put up a couple in my yard. Thanks you for the inspiration.

Wow that is fast. Will you treat the wood with anything to protect it against the weather?

I’m not sure as of right now if I will be treating it with anything. If I do it won’t be until after they are finished with it.

Nice box for the robins! I’m glad you commented on my bird house so I was able to see yours and be inspired. This will be my next quick project. Few years ago I built a platform for the robins and it has been “rented” twice. I’m sure they will fight for this good looking one!

According to the fuzzy shadow from the sun, I would guess the box is facing West, right? And if I compare the dimension of the post, which looks like 4 X 4, the inside of the box would be about 8” square, right?

Thanks for sharing and of course, commenting.
