Having too much scrap wood can be a good thing, the result of my small hoarding wood problem is a few cutting boards for friends. The wood is a mix of domestic and exotic hardwoods with a several coats of Howards cutting Boards finish. There is small finger holds routed on the sides, I glued silicone pc’s on the bottom to prevent sliding.

Very nice board – great way to use them all (sraps).

Consider making your boards with end grain faces. With the scraps, you can get sort of a “crazy quilt” look which some folks find very interesting. My daughter took two such boards home with her this past week since she likes the randomness of using scraps of various dimensions.

Thanks for the complements, it was a quick easy and fun project. I’ve made end grain cutting boards in the past, not a fan of the chaotic look of crazy patterns. The sad part about this project, one of the boards was broke in transit, Thanks to UPS.
