I got a message, with a pic of something similar to this, asking if I could make it. There’s a lot of these out there. I changed it up some, keeping the features she wanted. She wanted a low power light, this is a 2 watt LED.
I looked around locally, then settled on Vintagewireandsupply.com . It’s 1 stop shopping for hardware for lighting and stuff. They ship very quick. They’re good people.
It’s similar to a bandsaw box, but I resawed on the table saw. Me & the bandsaw ain’t getting along lately. I started with a walnut board, squared it up and cut it in half, then cut off a top and bottom. I hollowed it out with a forstner bit, then the router table. The top 3 pieces are glued together, the bottom is screwed on.
My camera is hit or miss, mostly miss. All these pics, except for the 4 pieces, are cell phone pics.

When I’m in between projects, I have a few carvings laying around that I work on. This will be a gift to someone.
Wlanut dish, in the shape of a walnut leaf.

Great projects? Lamp is unique. Leaf brings back memories.

I like both of them well.
The leaf is my favorite of the 2 though. Might be because I dd not have electric lights in the house I grew up in until I was almost 10 years old.

Quite good electric set up. Leaf also turned very realistic.

Nice walnut leaf ! Too bad about your bandsaw…sounds like it needs a good talking to and maybe an overhaul ? A talking to is always a good first step if done up close and personal where you can see guides, wear, bearings and distances etc. It might not talk back, but you just might see why its outa sorts too ! They sometimes act like an errant child with a simple turd-crossways problem. Goodony’a Hairy.

Thanks!
Cliff, it’s more than likely me and not the bandsaw acting up. A new blade and a tune up would get it right again. Overcoming inertia is my main problem.

That leaf is very cool. Does this project mean the light is on, but nobody’s home??? LOL
